The price of US copper producer grade 110 moved up 1.4 percent on Wednesday, June 26, making it the day’s biggest mover. After hitting a 30-day low on Monday, June 24, the price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 1.4 percent yesterday. Just off of a 30-day low, the price of US copper producer grade 102 rose 1.3 percent yesterday. The Japanese copper cash price held steady.
Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese copper wire rose 0.6 percent yesterday, just off the 30-day low it hit on Monday, June 24. After hitting a 30-day low on Monday, June 24, the price of Chinese copper bar rose 0.6 percent yesterday. The Chinese copper cash price rose 0.6 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap held steady.
The copper 3-month price rose 1.3 percent yesterday on the LME, just off the 30-day low of $6,765 per metric ton it hit on Monday, June 24. Just off of a 30-day low of $6,726 per metric ton, the primary copper cash price rose 1.3 percent on Wednesday on the LME.
Today’s Aluminum Prices
At $1,744 per metric ton, the cash price of primary aluminum moved up 0.9 percent on Wednesday, June 26, making it the day’s biggest mover on the LME. After hitting a 30-day low of $1,790 per metric ton on Monday, June 24, the aluminum 3-month price rose 0.8 percent yesterday on the LME.
The Indian aluminum cash price declined 0.4 percent.
Chinese aluminum prices closed flat for the day. The Chinese aluminum cash price showed little movement yesterday. Chinese aluminum scrap saw little change in its price on Wednesday. Chinese aluminum billet stayed flat. The price of Chinese aluminum bar saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
